Where’s the Fire?

Ever see a desperation “hook and ladder” play that actually worked? Well, here’s one, and it carried Division III Trinity (TX) to a win over Millsaps (MS). These guys aren’t playing for big future NFL contracts; they’re playing good old fashioned college football for their home teams. Watch the video for a reminder of when college football was more fun than money.

Now We Know

If 37-17 looks bad, it really wasn’t that close. Ohio State was just better in every respect. They controlled the ball, made few mistakes, and thoroughly dominated the Nittany Lions in front of a hostile crowd of 110,000+.

Beaver Stadium, Wayyyy Back

A reader, Bob Zang, had commented on my 1964 pictures, stating that he used to hang around Beaver Stadium when it was next to Rec Hall (it was moved to its present location in 1959), and he wondered if any pictures of it could be found.
