Mostly about Penn State football, this is a tale told by idiots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

That's better. I feel as if a lot of people---and that includes some of my fellow bloggists (experts that we are)---have missed the boat by erring on the side of perpetual homeboy optimism. They're kidding themselves. All we really have to hang our hats on are occasional good performances by specific players. ANY damn Division I-A (or whatever the hell it's called now) team has good performances by specific players. Hell, Indiana is not going anywhere, but they have that "8'2" receiver" whose virtues they can extol every week---just like we have Sean Lee and Dan Connor. Do we have a kick-ass team? No. Will we have one in the foreseeable future? No. (We do the same thing with recruiting---cherry picking the 12-star recruits who are deluded into coming to PSU and calling it a "great recruiting class"---then look at what we wind up with. Also, look at the national recruiting stats to see where we rank. Go ahead, I dare ya.) Anyway, we're mediocre. I guess I said that already.

Sorry, I'm a bit under the weather today. Getting old ain't for sissys. Yes a rant that any Blue and White geezer would be proud of.....but we kicked it around the block about as much as one can expect. To be added to hated catch phrases.." what you see, is what you get". Seen many teams come and go, and this one will not be remembered long. I still feel the troubles are not on the field but on the sidelines, and that may not change for some time to come. Unless we get to play Temple in a bowl, you are correct sir, in your rant. So , with the help of OSU, and Michigan, we should see a New years Bowl, and this will help with interactions with family members in attendance at New Years that otherwise I might need to converse. Go State, as an other year draws to a close.

This game is like my electric bill, at the end they don't ask me how I got it, just if I have enough..... I'll take the win...and I'll take Temple and the 110 points next week!
