This afternoon, I wrote a story stating that Urban Meyer would be confirmed as the next coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, based on what was written by the Columbus Dispatch, presumably a source of quality information reportage about Ohio State affairs. This evening, I am reading in ESPN.com that it is not a done deal.

Instead, I’ll ramble on about Meyer, Bradley, and Penn State coaching situation, but I’ll stop short of the Wisconsin preview, which I’ll be writing while the rest of you are happily guzzling wine and ravenously devouring my avian cousins.

Brutus didn’t stand a chance as the mighty Nittany Lions marched into the Horshoe on Saturday and returned home with a 20-14 win under their belts. They need only defeat Wisconsin in their sole remaining game to go to the inaugural Big Ten championship game in Indianapolis.

The beleaguered #21 Penn State Nittany Lions (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten) travel to Columbus to square off with the beleaguered and unranked Ohio State Buckeyes (6-4, 3-3) on Saturday in a game that always has been a smashmouth affair. Ohio State leads the all-time series 14-12.
