James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, an influential fundamentalist Christian organization, says he is “deeply disappointed in President Bush and Congressional Republicans” for “betraying social conservatives.” Dobson and others of his ilk want the current administration to come out more strongly against abortion, gay rights and immigration.
