AP Report: Big Ben to Be Cited

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have to pay $388 in fines for driving a motorcycle without a Pennsylvania motorcycle license and not wearing a helmet. Even though Pennsylvania law allows riders to go helmetless, that law applies to properly licensed motorcycle operators who have been licensed for at least two years or who have completed an accredited safety course. Ben did not have a valid motorcycle operator’s permit and he had not taken the course.

Ben Breaks His Face—Lesson Learned?

This morning, Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger crashed his motorcyle into a car on the approach to the 10th Street Bridge in Dahntahn* Pittsburgh, smashing up his face pretty badly. At first, the reports indicated that he had badly hurt one or both knees, but later that story was changed. His head injuries, however, included a broken jaw and broken teeth. Seven hours of surgery was required to fix Ben’s face, and he is in serious but stable condition. ???? ????? ?????? Surgeons claim to have put Humpty together again. bwin ???? Whither Marcus?

Did you think that the Marcus Vick saga was over when he went undrafted? This was one of The Turkey’s no-brainer draft predictions that actually came to pass. ????? ???? But what of Marcus now? Whither be the former Hokie problem child ex-quarterback and brother of Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick?

It turns out that he’s trying out at wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins, and they say he’s coming along well. ??? ????? ?? ???? ????? I suppose they need someone to provide notariety now that Ricky “Ganja” Williams will be sitting out for a year’s suspension for failing yet another NFL drug test and paying penance playing for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. ???? ?????
