A brief introduction–or not. I’m not going to bore you with various factoids about myself. You now know the hair color. I’m delighted to be a part of this blog, which will allow me to escape implosion when I’m worked up about various issues (and people) that are just impossibly ludicrous. I’ll get right to it:
The Redhead Debuts
As of today, The Nittany Turkey is adding a new editorial writer to its fine stable of authors. This addition will increase the total number of authors to two.
It is my hope that the perspectives of this blog will be significantly broadened as The Redhead rants about life in general, the arts, and anything else she feels like writing about. ?????? ??? ???????? You can also expect to see some impromptu point/counterpoint interplay sometime down the line, inasmuch as The Redhead and I come at you from almost diametrically opposed ideological bents. ????? ???? ??? ???? She’ll leave the football writing to me, though. ????? ???? ????

Coaching Little League Baseball
A friend of mine, Dr. David Grossman, is currently writing a book about the art of coaching Little League baseball. I’m helping him out with some minor geek work that will smooth things out a bit, while Dave Roberts is supplying his marketing expertise. As well, the eleemosynary efforts of David’s sister, Wendy, his brother, Joel, and his friend, Bill Bercik, have energized the project. The editorial experience has been enthralling — if every now and again exasperating. We are essentially an extremely eclectic editorial ensemble: an energetic educator, a couple of eccentric egotists, a People Magazine writer, and a medical oncologist. In spite of all our enterprising machinations, at once esoteric and earthy, all of us editors endured. Elatedly entering the end game, we expect this educational and enlightening epic to emerge later this year. [Read more…]
