You all know that Penn State football student tickets sold out in barely an hour last week. Everyone thought it was great at the time, that it meant that the popularity of the Nittany Lions was at an all-time high, or at least close to it.
Yeah, well now we know the real reason for the sellout. A quick glance at eBay will show you what our young entrepreneurs have learned about the lucrative ticket scalping industry. While eBay has some strict rules about scalping, you can bet that the sales on other, less restrictive sites involve considerable premiums.
I’m conflicted over whether I should be proud of the little tykes for their entrepreneurial spirit, or pissed off at them for viewing PSU tickets as a shady money-grubbing venture.
