It appears, although it isn’t yet official, that Penn State (6-6, 2-6 Big Ten) will be headed to the Bronx version of the Toilet Bowl — the New Era Pinstripe Bowl — to face Boston College (7-5, 4-4 ACC). Check out the email exchange below between former BoT Vice Chairman Paul Surma and former Penn State President Rod Erickson. Ohhhhh, yeah! Surma’s an asshole and pusillanimous Erickson is a wimp. Fortunately, he did not take Surma literally, but the statue is apparently not in Franco Harris’ basement. He’d have to move the Iron City tap for that to have been the case. The Buckeyes needed a “statement win” (another sportswriter cliché) and that’s what they got, redoubled, in spades, with oak leaf clusters. One helluva team effort and one helluva coaching job by the Schmuckeyes and Urbz, if you ask me, and even if you don’t produced a no-questions-asked 59-0 shutout over well-regarded Wisconsin.
