This afternoon, I wrote a story stating that Urban Meyer would be confirmed as the next coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, based on what was written by the Columbus Dispatch, presumably a source of quality information reportage about Ohio State affairs. This evening, I am reading in ESPN. ???? ????? com that it is not a done deal. It quotes Meyer himself on that.

“I have not been offered any job nor is there a deal in place. ????? ??? ????? I plan on spending Thanksgiving with my family and will not comment on this any further.” —Urban Meyer

I wish respectable news outlets would stop reporting damn rumors! The roller coaster is giving me indigestion.

My official Gator/Buckeye niece informant, Chrysanne, is falling down on the job. ???? 365 ????? But she did rebuke a colleague today when that person suggested that Jim Tressell would be the absolute perfect fit for Penn State’s open head coaching position. Even though she represents the enemy organizations, she’s well aware of Penn State’s priorities, having provided the naive yokel with at least two good reasons why that union would never occur.
