Nittany Lions Take on Buffalo after Temple Debacle

Our Penn State Nittany Lions (0-1, 0-0 Big Ten) take on the Buffalo Bulls (1-0, 0-0 MAC) at high noon Saturday in the 2015 home opener in Beaver Stadium. The Bulls are riding high after last week’s 51-14 home victory over the Albany Great Danes, but bulls are bigger than even the biggest dogs, you know. In that game, Buffalo gained 467 total yards, but don’t expect to see such a porous defense in this game, man.

This is another game that Penn State “can’t lose. ???? ????? ” I now have to admit that I’m making that statement with tongue (on the Internet, that’s spelled tounge) planted firmly in cheek. PSU hasn’t lost to Buffalo since 1900, although the two teams have met only twice. [Read more…]

As if the score alone is not enough of a disaster, losing MLB Nyeem Wartman-White for the season means that the already thin linebacking corps will be even thinner. As you certainly know by now, Temple (1-0) beat Penn State (0-1) 27-10, snapping a winning streak that dated back over 60 years before a sold-out Lincoln Financial Field crowd in Philadelphia, a crowd that was much decidedly Temple-partisan. Penn State Opens Season Against Temple in Philly

Ahhhhhhhh, it’s that time of year, FOOTBALL SEASON!! The Nittany Lions’ initial opponent of the 2015 season is the Temple Owls playing on their home turf, albeit with a Penn State majority in da house. Hell, not only is the game close to home for Penn Staters, but also they’ll have a former Nittany Lion to root for as opposing head coach. [Read more…]
