D-Line Takes Disciplinary Hit

Nittany Lion head coach Joe Paterno dismissed defensive tackles Chris Baker and Phil Taylor from the team today, stating that he was “fed up” with their shenanigans. The two have been notoriously involved in off-field incidents over the past couple of years. No one seems to know what set Paterno off this time, but I can guess that the recent Outside the Lines report on Penn State’s off-field issues might have had something to do with it.

Which Had More Teeth?

US Magazine recently reported that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest was bitten by a shark in about four feet of water. Apparently, the injuries are not serious, although the shark apparently left one of its teeth in the wound.

What Happened to the Girl?

I was sitting at my favorite discount pharmacy waiting for the folks behind the glass to dispense my prescription. A couple of young guys were ahead of me. The TV in the waiting area was tuned to a news channel, and Republican presidential candidate John McCain was on the screen talking about something or other.
