Joanne Tosti-Vasey, president of the National Organization for Women's Pennsylvania chapter has called for Joe Paterno's immediate resignation based on his verbal reaction to the suspension of Florida State linebacker A.J. Nicholson prior to the Orange Bowl, reported the Associated Press.

Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, booted from the team last week for his behavior on and off the field, was charged Monday with pulling a gun on three teenagers during an altercation in a restaurant parking lot.
