The Nittany Turkey

Primarily about Penn State football, this is a tale told by idiots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Team Captains, Finally!

Posted on September 2, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

It took this long to figure it out, but the Nittany Lions have finally selected their propecia no prescription canada captains on the eve of the season opener, and there are a lot of them. None of them, however, happens to be a quarterback.

Pictured above  from left to right, senior safety Drew Astorino, senior offensive tackle Quinn Barham,  senior wideout Derek Moye, and senior defenive tackle Devon Still will be the team leaders for 2011.

The Nittany Lions generally choose as their captains seniors who are effective leaders. If the starting quarterback happens to be a senior, he is generally a shoo in. Neither Rob Bolden nor Matt McGloin are seniors in terms of football eligibility, although McGloin has senior class standing, having been red-shirted for a year. Besides, although it has been reported widely that Bolden will start on Saturday, no one really knows who the real starting quarterback is!

Tressell Finds a Job

Posted on September 2, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

Jim “Sweater Vest” Tressell, disgraced Ohio State Buckeyes head coach, has found himself a job in the NFL. ??????? ???????? He’ll be the video replay analyst for the Indianapolis Colts. ???????

That means he’ll be tucked away in the booth, far away from the sidelines. Perhaps he’ll have to update his wardrobe to include blue and white sweater vests, those being the Colts’ colors. What’s that you say? Those are Penn State’s colors, too? Hahahhahahahaha! I’ve got to see this!

I decided that I couldn’t wait, so I Photoshopped ol’ Jim. ?????? ?????? (See above.)

More details at ESPN.

Bolden to Start (I Think)

Posted on September 2, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

This just in: Several sources with deep hooks into the team have reported that Rob Bolden will start Saturday’s game for the Nittany Lions against the Indiana State Sycamores, and that Matt McGloin will also play. ????? ?????? ?????? Just so’s ya know.

Bob Flounders of the Patriot-News opines on this further.

Whodat Turkey?

The Nittany Turkey is a retired techno-geek who thinks he knows something about Penn State football and everything else in the world. If there's a topic, we have an opinion on it, and you know what "they" say about opinions! Most of what is posted here involves a heavy dose of hip-shooting conjecture, but unlike some other blogs, we don't represent it as fact. Read More…
