Primarily about Penn State football, this is a tale told by idiots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

The Cereal Bowl

Posted on November 15, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

On Twitter this morning, Ron Musselman of the Post-Gazette asked about what the forthcoming Penn State vs. Ohio State game should be called. ????? ???????? ????? He offered “The Interim Bowl” because it would feature two interim head coaches. “The Scandal Bowl” was also discussed out there, in view of scandals in the football programs at both schools (Tattoogate and Showergate). ????? ????? ?? bet365 However, I thought that those were just a little too dry.

That’s why this Turkey has dubbed the PSU-OSU game as “The Cereal Bowl,” in honor of all the fruits, nuts, and flakes who created the scandals. Add the milk of human kindness in the form of OSU’s predicted pregame empathy for PSU’s plight, and you have something a little less dry and easier to swallow.

Oh, come on! We need a little humor at this juncture! ???? ?????? ???

McQueary Says He Stopped It

Posted on November 15, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

NBC news reported that Mike McQueary sent an email to former teammates clarifying his actions in the Sandusky shower incident.

McQueary wrote: “I did the right thing…you guys know me…the truth is not out there fully…I didn’t just turn and run…I made sure it stopped…I had to make quick tough decisions.”

Read about this recent development and related stories at MSNBC.

Why the Costas Interview?

Posted on November 15, 2011 Written by The Nittany Turkey

Everybody knows by now that Jerry Sandusky was interviewed by telephone by Bob Costas of NBC, and the interview broadcast later yesterday evening on Rock Center. Of course, Sandusky asserted his innocence. ????? ???? ????? What else would he do? However, the big question is “Why?”. Why did he choose to be interviewed on national TV?

My thoughts are that his attorney, Joe Amendola, staged the whole thing as part of his defense strategy, setting up a McQueary versus Sandusky main event. The burden of proof is, of course, on the prosecution. ????? ????? ?? ???????? As far as you and I know, all the prosecution has is what is contained in the grand jury presentment. Amendola thinks that no one other than McQueary has witnessed Sandusky doing anything illegal and none of the alleged victims have stepped up to testify against him. The witness of the 2000 episode is now suffering from dementia, unable to testify. Additionally, with the media frenzy having blown the whole thing out of proportion with conjectures and innuendos, Amendola will argue that there is no venue in the United States that hasn’t been tainted by media bias. So, why not give Sandusky a little more media coverage, proclaiming his innocence? bet365 arab It couldn’t hurt!

Well, that’s what I think he has up his sleeve, anyhow. I’d like some of the legal folks out there to comment on this. What do you think?

Oh, by the way, Amendola impregnated a 17 year-old schoolgirl who expressed interest in the law when he was 49. Let’s get that out of the way so we don’t dwell on it. Amendola is not on trial here.

Whodat Turkey?

The Nittany Turkey is a retired techno-geek who thinks he knows something about Penn State football and everything else in the world. If there's a topic, we have an opinion on it, and you know what "they" say about opinions! Most of what is posted here involves a heavy dose of hip-shooting conjecture, but unlike some other blogs, we don't represent it as fact. Read More…
