K. John hit the top number, and the bottom number didn’t matter. Michigan thoroughly throttled the Nittany Lions, 42-7, with the 7 resulting from a last-gasp, desperation drive to avoid a shutout with the game long since decided.

Trace McSorley had a bad day, exacerbated by breakdowns by the offensive line and coaching weirdness. The defense was able to keep the game close for the first half in spite of the offense sputtering. But all hell broke loose in the second half. [Read more…]

Nittany Lions Wreck Big Blue, 42-13

With last year’s 49-10 rout at da Big House serving as tacit locker room fodder, the #2 Penn State Nittany Lions (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) entered whited-out, packed St. Joe Memorial Stadium at Beaver bent on revenge. They tore apart the best regarded defense in the conference and demonstrated that their own defense ain’t too shabby, annihilating the #19 Michigan Wolverines (5-2, 2-2) 42-13.  [Read more…]
